Institutional Communication: images, processes and memories in the mediatized daily scenario

The objective of this research is to investigate the processes, the production of meaning and the configuration of social memories within the scope of Institutional Communication, understood here as a specific field of Communication, with its own materiality and theoretical framework constructed in a trans and interdisciplinary character. This conception triggers, for this investigation, the support of theories of language and discourse, seeking authors and lines of reflection that allow to analyze the discursive strategies triggered by the empirical objects and communication processes engendered by Institutional Communication. It also incorporates the theoretical framework of the research, authors who have grounded discussions around mediatization, including the demarcations it places on the role of technology (particularly digital technologies) in an approach that starts from the perspective of media and daily relations and its impact on the redesign of social practices. It is explained, here, that it is a long-term research and broad scope and, therefore, generates subprojects of applied research and / or technological development (In progress: “System for Mapping Public Sources”, aimed at the development of the platform It started in 2019 and is expected to end in 2021).
