Profile
Postdoctoral Researcher at the Fluminense Federal University’s Postgraduate Program in Media and Everyday Life. She has earned a Ph.D. in Communication from Universidade de Vigo (Spain – International Doctoral Studies). She completed her Master’s in Communication Investigation, also from Universidade de Vigo and a Bachelor’s in Social Communication from the Federal University of Ceará. She is part of the Research Group Ethics in Consumer Societu (ESC- UFF) and GRIM – Research group on the relationship between childhood, youth, and the media (UFC). She participates in the outreach projects Contacts: (Re) Constructing Advertising and OBS- Observing Expanded Advertising (UFRJ). She is also a consultant for the Alana Institute and a member of The Brazilian Network for Childhood and Consumption (REBRINC). She participated in the research project “Children’s Advertising in Times of Convergence”, which resulted from a partnership between GRIM (UFC) and the Ministry of Justice. Currently, she is carrying out the research project “The school as space for fostering children’s critical sense about advertising on online games”. She has extensive experience teaching in the field of communication and researching the following topics: childhood, advertising, consumption, the internet, ethics, and advertising literacy.
